Turn Lock Coupler "TLC"

TLCThe Turn Lock Coupler (TLC) is an easy-to-use adjustable ferrule system that provides a solid joint without play. Choose between 0, 30, 45, and 60-degree feather angle, right or left-hand control. Adjust while paddling, no keys or tools to misplace.

Ray Series

Aqua-Bound's Ray Series take-apart paddles combine carbon fiber shafts and blades made of injection molded abX resins reinforced with fiberglass or carbon fiber for superior strength and stiffness. These high-performance paddles offer an unbeatable weight-to-toughness ratio at a great price. The detachable blades and split shafts of the four-piece paddles take apart easily to fit inside your kayak or a Feathercraft backpack. All Ray Series paddles are available with the TLC adjustable ferrule system.

Eagle Ray The Eagle Ray (6.25" X 20") is a full size touring paddle that is very smooth through the water. It is ideal for a low-angle paddling style and is a great all around paddle for kayak touring.
Sting Ray The Sting Ray (6.25" X 18") is an all-purpose recreational and light touring paddle. It pushes a bit less water which allows a quicker paddling cadence and reduces fatigue. Also available with a smaller shaft for paddlers with smaller hands (If you wear size small gloves, you may prefer the smaller shaft Sting Ray).
The Manta Ray (7.25" X 18") is an aggressive high-angle touring paddle designed for acceleration and power. This is the right choice for paddling through surf or maneuvering through rock gardens.

All Ray series take-apart paddles with fiberglass reinforced blades and carbon shafts are available in either two or four-piece models in 210, 220, 230, and 240-cm. lengths.

Eagle Ray (33.0 oz. for 220 cm.)    2-piece $149; 4-piece $159

Sting Ray (31.5 oz. for 220 cm.)     2-piece $149; 4-piece $159

Manta Ray (33.5 oz. for 220 cm.)   2-piece $149; 4-piece $159

For even better performance, all Aqua-Bound Ray series paddles are available with carbon-reinforced abX resin blades, carbon twill shafts, and the TLC adjustable ferrule system. These paddles are a bit more durable, a little stiffer, and lighter weight than Aqua-Bound Ray series paddles with fiberglass-reinforced blades.

Eagle Ray (30.8 oz. for 220 cm.)    2-piece $189; 4-piece $199; 4-piece with TLC $209

Sting Ray (29.3 oz. for 220 cm.)     2-piece $189; 4-piece $199; 4-piece with TLC $209

Manta Ray (31.0 oz. for 220 cm.)   2-piece $189; 4-piece $199; 4-piece with TLC $209

Carbon-Epoxy Laminate Paddles

Mariner Tsunami

In addition to the "Ray" series with abX resin blades, Aqua-Bound has developed even lighter weight paddles with carbon twill shafts and carbon-epoxy laminate blades. These lightweight paddles offer superb performance at an incredible price; all come with the new TLC adjustable ferrule system. Two-piece paddles available in 210, 220, 230, and 240-cm. lengths.

Carbon-epoxy Eagle Ray - 6.25" X 20" (27.5 oz. for 220 cm.)    2-piece $319

Carbon-epoxy Manta Ray - 7.25" X 18" (27.25 oz. for 220 cm.)    2-piece $319

A bilge pump is an important piece of safety equipment that makes emptying water out of a capsized kayak much easier. The Aqua-Bound Bilge Master is lightweight, easy to handle, and it pumps 8 gallons per minute. The foam collar provides flotation if it is dropped overboard. Key Features: 17" body length; 7.5 strokes per gallon (designed for optimum water displacement); comfortable T-grip handle, ergonomically contoured; bright yellow for high visibility.

 Aqua-Bound Bilge Master $27

Float Bags

We recommend that float bags be used at all times in kayaks without bulkheads (unless bow and stern compartments are filled with gear in water-proof storage bags). Float bags displace water and offer added buoyancy to prevent your kayak from swamping in case you capsize. In addition, we highly recommend use of a sea sock.

Bear-resistant food storage canister

Bear-resistant food cache

These bear-resistant containers are expert tested (by bears) and have proven effective in keeping even the hungriest bears out of your food supply.

The Model 812 Backpackers' Cache by Garcia Machine is 8.8" in diameter by 12" long, and it weighs 2.7 pounds. This durable ABS plastic container is designed to slip easily into a kayak or backpack - each canister holds 4 to 5 person-days of food.

Since 1982, Garcia Machine has worked with wildlife specialists to develop light-weight containers that backcountry campers can count on to keep their food safe from bears and other wild animals. Documented studies have shown that the use of these containers has drastically reduced the seriousness and frequency of camper/bear incidents. In many backcountry areas, hanging food has proven ineffective, as the bears have learned how to retrieve food hanging from tree limbs.

The Model 812 Backpackers' Cache will keep your food and the bears safe.

Primus OmniFuel Stove

This is a great stove, and we have had good success taking it on planes and purchasing Isobutane/propane canisters at our paddling destination. It is the most advanced Primus stove - perfect for multi-day trips and traveling in foreign countries. Runs on white gas, unleaded gasoline, butane or propane gas canisters, diesel, kerosene/paraffin, and other petroleum-based fuels. The newly designed burner has a pre-heating system that saves fuel and minimizes the priming time. Durable tripod legs and non-slip pot supports provide a truly stable cooking platform. The adjustable flame goes from a simmer to a virtual blow torch. Turning the liquid fuel bottle upside down turns off the stove and burns the remaining fuel in the fuel line to prevent spills and flare-ups. Comes with three interchangeable jet nipples for optimal combustion of different fuels.

Includes a sturdy aluminum pump, a multi-purpose cleaning tool, a windscreen, and a handy nylon/neoprene case with tool pocket . (Fuel bottles must be purchased separately.)

Dimensions packed: 6.5"x 3.5"x 3.4". Output: 3,000 W/ 10,500 BTU.

This new outrigger sailing rig allows you to sail, paddle, or paddle and sail your kayak. Now you can plan a sailing trip anywhere in the world. The kit includes a 12-foot aluminum mast and 4-foot boom, two akas, two inflatable amas, two leeboards, main sail, sail cover, stainless steel and aluminum sailing hardware, all lines, and a pump for the amas. The Wind Seeker is specifically designed for Feathercraft folding kayaks, but it is also available with a special mast base for use on most rigid hull kayaks. For more information, please visit the Feathercraft Web site at www.feathercraft.com/sailrigs/windseeker.php.

Personal Tether

TetherThe personal tether attaches you to your kayak so that you cannot be separated from it in the event of a wet exit. The Feathercraft tether features a small stuff sack which holds approximately 15 feet of webbing. You attach one end of the webbing to your kayak and the other end to either a quick release waist-belt or to your PFD. We especially recommend the tether for our sit-on-top kayaks. If you capsize in strong wind you may not be able to swim fast enough to catch your drifting kayak. Always detach the tether before entering beach surf to avoid entanglement.

Tether $ 35

Sea Anchor

Sea anchor In strong winds and rough seas, deployment of a sea anchor will force your bow back into the wind, reduce drift substantially, and restore stability allowing you to go about the business of pumping out, resting, and making repairs, if necessary.

Sea Anchor $ 140
