The Feathercraft pack cart is specifically designed for carrying
Feathercraft kayaks in their backpacks, including the K2 duffel bag. Use
the cart for handling your pack in airports, train stations, parking lots
or city streets. The pack cart can also be used to wheel around an assembled
kayak. This handy cart weighs 2.25 pounds and it comes in its own stuff sack.
This
handy pouch clips to the perimeter
safety line on the bow deck
close to the cockpit. It provides quick access
to pogies, sunscreen, water bottle,
etc. Assorted colors
The
pivot foot brace can be added on to an existing K1 or Kahuna/Big
Kahuna. There are no changes to cable length for the Kahuna models, but
a cable
adjustment is required for the K1. This brace is now
standard on the K1 and is an option for the Kahuna.
Fit
snugly in your cockpit. The Feathercraft inflatable hip-fit-kit consists of a pair of urethane bladders
protected by nylon covers. Paddlers use the webbing straps sewn to either end
of the bladders to position the hip pads
along each side of the seat. Inflate the bladders for your personal fit.
Feathercraft four-piece fiberglass paddles are lightweight (2.15 lb) and
will fit into the same pack as your boat. Paddles can be adjusted to be feathered
or unfeathered.
Scotty bilge pumps are designed to be used
with the Feathercraft sea sock (the sea sock material will not clog the pump
intake). Pump includes neoprene sleeve for flotation and Feathercraft logo.
Two lengths available: 24" (61cm) for the K2 and Klondike and 15" (38cm)
for all Feathercraft singles. Specify length when ordering.
For
the Khatsalano, Kahuna, and Wisper, and those who love to roll. This
lower-profile cross rib is substituted at the stern of the cockpit, so
full extension for layback rolls is easier and more fluid. Specify kayak
model.

Wind Seeker Sail Kit
Two
styles of downwind sail rig are available, too. The Klondike and K2 both
come ready to accept an asymmetrical sail that can be used as a spinnaker
or Genoa. The sail is easy to use, and the take-a-part mast stores easily
inside the kayak when not in use. The K1 can be ordered with a frame adaptation
to accept the spinnaker sail rig.
For
simple downwind sailing, we offer a new easy-to-mount detachable bracket
for use with the Spirit Sail, a Polynesian-style 'V' sail. No mast. No lines.
The mounting bracket can be installed on any of our kayaks, including the

In strong winds and rough seas, deployment of a sea anchor will force your
bow back into the wind, reduce drift substantially, and restore stability
allowing you to go about the business of pumping out, resting, and making
repairs, if necessary.
A
single-coated nylon sea
sock is included with each Feathercraft kayak, except the Klondike,
where they are optional. They are made from durable coated nylon
and the seams are taped. The sea sock is an important safety item. It fits
tightly around the cockpit coaming rim and is contoured to fit along the
seat-back and bottom. The “foot” is loose through the cockpit, creating
a “pod”. The paddler sits in the sock; legs and feet are not
constricted and the spray skirt fits as usual. In the event of a capsize,
water will only enter the sock, not the whole boat. The sea sock also
keeps the inside of your kayak clean and dry. The double-coated nylon
sea sock takes even more abuse. Size small fits Kahuna,
Wisper, Khats, and K-Light; large fits Big Kahuna, Heron, K1, and K2.
Adjustable
webbing straps allows the skeg to fit on a variety of kayak models.
A
nylon spray skirt comes standard with every
Feathercraft except the Khatsalano series.
The nylon spray skirt is made of durable
coated nylon packcloth, is seam-taped, and
has adjustable shoulder straps. These fit
all Feathercraft kayaks, and some other
brand name kayaks as well. An all-neoprene
skirt comes standard with the Khatsalano
series to ensure a snug fit around the
coaming and your body and make rolling
practice that much drier! An option is the
neoprene deck/nylon tunnel spray skirt
(shown in graphic). This skirt will keep you
a bit drier inside the cockpit. Size small fits
the Kahuna, Wisper, Khats, and K-Light; size
large fits the Big
Kahuna, K1, and K2. The Klondike comes with
custom nylon spray skirts.
The
personal tether attaches you to your kayak so that you cannot be separated
from it in the event of a wet exit. The Feathercraft tether features a small
stuff sack which holds approximately 15 feet of webbing. You attach one end
of the webbing to your kayak and the other end to either a quick release
waist-belt or to your PFD. We especially recommend the tether for our
Airline sit-on-top
kayaks. If you capsize in a strong wind you may not be able to swim fast enough
to catch your drifting kayak. Always detach the tether before entering beach
surf to avoid entanglement.
