Feathercraft Airline Sit-on-top Kayaks

Java
Gemini
Jet Stream

Feathercraft sit-on-top kayaks are unique in the kayak world. Sturdy frames made of anodized 6061-T6 aluminum magnesium alloy tubing make these folding sit-on-top kayaks rigid, resulting in excellent paddling performance. Four urethane air chambers provide plenty of flotation, and all models are self-bailing. Duratek hulls are strong and abrasion resistant; assembly is quick and easy, and no tools are necessary. Feathercraft quality and attention to detail are obvious - these are not "rubber ducky" boats!
Duffel

Comfortable seats, with inflatable lumbar support, thigh support straps, and solid foot braces ensure seaworthy sit-on-top kayaks that are fun to paddle. Cargo storage areas give these kayaks the capability of doing multi-day paddling trips. Each model comes with a double action pump and travel-style duffel bag. In addition to the kayak, the duffel will hold a four-piece paddle, a PFD, paddling sportswear, and safety equipment.

Java

The versatile Java is 15' 4" long with a 28" beam, and it weighs only 33 pounds. This seaworthy sit-on-top handles well in open water and is surprisingly fast, having a cruising speed similar to the Kahuna. The Java comes standard with a drop-down skeg to ensure straight tracking in windy conditions. Add a second seat, and it converts quickly into a small double.

With a 450-pound payload and ample space under the adjustable cargo mesh, the Java accommodates larger paddlers and even holds plenty of gear. Paddle in the ocean, take it on a multi-day trip, go fishing, or use it as a snorkeling platform - the multipurpose Java can do it all. Assembly time is about 15 minutes.

Standard equipment includes: drop-down skeg, duffel, double action pump, repair kit, and written instructions. Optional equipment includes: a surf rudder and second seat for the double configuration. (Click here for Java narrative by Lyle Hancock.) Click here for Java assembly instructions.

Java - $2,619 (single with drop skeg)

Optional second seat kit - $204
Optional surf rudder - $194

Gemini

Double your fun! The Gemini is 18' long with a 30" beam, and it weighs only 48 pounds. This is a fast, stable double sit-on-top with a payload capacity of 600 pounds and some room for gear. The drop-down skeg and rudder ensure excellent tracking and maneuverability in windy conditions. Assembly takes about 20 minutes.

Gemini on the waterAlthough the Gemini is designed for two paddlers, it can easily be paddled solo. If most of your trips are with a partner, but you paddle solo, too, the Gemini may be your best choice.

Standard equipment includes: two seats, surf rudder, drop-down skeg, duffel, double-action pump, repair kit, and written instructions. Click here for Gemini assembly instructions.

Gemini - $3,492

Jet Stream

It looks fast and it is fast! The Jet Stream is the world's first folding surf ski - it is 19' 3" long, has a 20" beam, and weighs 45 pounds. For paddlers accustomed to paddling a surf ski, the Jet Stream will feel relatively stable. For kayakers new to the surf ski experience, it will feel tippy compared to traditional sea kayaks. The payload is 265 pounds, and it will even hold gear for multi-day trips. Assembly time is about 30 minutes.

If you want a good workout or you want to get somewhere fast, the Jet Stream may be for you. Standard equipment includes: surf rudder, drop skeg, duffel, double-action pump, repair kit, and written instructions. Click here for Jet Stream assembly instructions.

Jet Stream - $3,842
