Making a Purchase

When it comes to purchasing Feathercraft kayaks, SOAR Inflatables, Alpacka pack rafts, Kokatat sportswear and expedition paddling gear, we believe in careful consultation and individual service. With this in mind, we do not offer a "shopping cart" on our Web site. To make a purchase, please phone 970-375-1479 or use our secure e-mail paddler@foldingkayak.com. We will need to know what you want, your home address, shipping address (if different), phone number, and e-mail address. 

Payment

We accept payment by VISA and MasterCard, personal check, bank draft, bank wire transfer, and PayPal. We accept credit card information over the phone; if this is inconvenient, we will arrange for you to e-mail or fax the information. When customers in the U.S.A. purchase Feathercraft kayaks and accessories through Folding Kayak Adventures, the transaction will not be considered a "Foreign Transaction" by your bank and will not be subject to a Foreign Transaction Fee.

Factory Direct Shipping - Feathercraft Kayaks and Accessories

We offer free shipping of Feathercraft kayaks and any order over $1,000 to customers anywhere in the contiguous United States and Canada*. For all other Feathercraft orders, we will calculate shipping charges based on weight and distance shipped ($15 minimum). *There is a surcharge of $100 for shipping kayaks to Alaska, Hawaii, and remote areas in the NWT and the Yukon.

Feathercraft kayaks are built to order to your specifications, so please allow three to four weeks for delivery.

Shipping - SOAR Inflatables, Alpacka rafts, Kokatat watersports wear and paddling accessories 

We use FedEx and the U.S. Postal Service to ship SOAR canoes, Alpacka rafts, paddling accessories and Kokatat water sportswear. When you place your order, we will discuss what shipping method and delivery schedule works best for you. Shipping charges will be calculated for each shipment based on the type of service you choose, distance, weight, and package dimensions.

Taxes and Duties - Feathercraft Factory Direct Shipping

All sales of Feathercraft products to customers in the United States are duty free. Except for customers in Colorado, we do not collect sales or GST taxes for items shipped to the United States. Colorado customers are subject to state sales taxes.

All Feathercraft orders are subject to GST when delivered in Canada and to GST and BC sales tax when delivered in British Columbia.

International Sales

We use FedEx International and the U.S. Postal Service to deliver everything we sell to water sports enthusiasts throughout the world. Shipping costs vary depending on your location, so please e-mail paddler@foldingkayak.com a list of the products you have in mind and your country, city and postal code. We will reply with accurate shipping costs, customs duties, and other tax information. We prefer payment by bank wire transfer for international sales over $1,000 USD, but can make exceptions for payment by credit card and PayPal. In these cases, some of our promotions may not apply due to the high cost of international transaction fees.

Gift Cards and Gift Registry Service

We offer gift cards for any amount and are glad to arrange a gift registry for any occasion. Our gift registry service includes personal consultation and service to our registry client and gift givers, flexible shipping and gift delivery options, free tracking of purchases, and registration by phone or e-mail.
