K-Light      Kahuna      Wisper     K1 Expedition     Heron      Khatsalano      Klondike      K2 Expedition

Wisper

The Wisper (shown with optional bow hatch) has elegant flowing lines with an upswept bow and stern - it is 15' 7" long and has a 23 1/2" beam. The Wisper may be described best as a cross between the Greenland-style Khatsalano and the popular Kahuna - a perfect blend of performance and seaworthiness. It weighs 37.5 pounds. Strap-on skeg detailThe nimble Wisper accelerates and maintains hull speed with little effort; it tracks well and carves turns easily. Because it cannot be fitted with a rudder, a strap-on skeg is standard equipment.

With ample volume and a 300-pound payload, the Wisper offers a solid fit for smaller to medium sized paddlers and holds enough gear for multi-day trips. Larger paddlers should consider the new Wisper XP (see below). The Wisper is easy to carry in its lightweight backpack and there is plenty of room for two four-piece paddles, a PFD, standard safety equipment, and paddling sportswear. Assembly takes about 25 minutes.

Standard equipment includes: integral cockpit coaming, medium stern hatch, strap-on skeg, nylon spray skirt, nylon sea sock, comfortable foot plate for bracing, full deck rigging, lightweight seat with air back lumbar support and air bottom, thigh braces, travel-style backpack, repair kit, assembly DVD and written instructions. Wisper XP

The Wisper XP is the Wisper "fully loaded". It is now available with your choice of a small cockpit like the original Wisper or a large cockpit like the K1 Expedition or Big Kahuna. Taller paddlers will enjoy the comfort and extra room of the large cockpit. Dimensions and payload are the same as the Wisper, but the XP weighs 40 pounds.

Standard equipment includes: rudder, pivot foot pedals, large stern hatch, small bow hatch, double-coated nylon spray skirt and sea sock, full deck rigging, deck reinforcement strip, expedition seat with air back lumbar support, thigh braces, travel-style backpack, repair kit, assembly DVD and written instructions. Optional equipment includes: rolling rib and spray skirt upgrade.
